Why Pilates?
The Pilates reformer is actually an amazingly elegant machine. The reformer
provides finely tuned exercise resistance that allows one to work very precisely
to develop good alignment,
core strength,
and
flexibility.
The Pilates reformer is gentle on the joints, so it is appropriate for those
with injuries/joint replacement. It is also idea for those wishing to lose
weight, because the addition of the
jumpboard
(interval training)
increases the heart rate and calorie burn.
All Sessions 55 Minutes
Private Session ~ $55. Semi-Private (2 – 3) ~ $40.
Pilates Mat Class ~ 1 Hour $15.
Longer, leaner muscles (less bulk, more freedom of movement)
Improves posture, balance, coordination & circulation
Works the upper body to build toned & cut definition
Improves performance in sports (golf, skiing, tennis) and can be customized to suit everyone from rehab patients to elite athletes.
Pilates Mat Classes for Students held on Saturdays from 1 - 2:00 PM
Kate E. Trick
As former professional dancer with The National Ballet of Canada, Kate has worked with a variety of stars such as Eric Bruhn, Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Karen Kain, touring and dancing worldwide.
Her love of movement resurfaced after she had raised her two children. Certifying with ACE and AFAA in 1999 as a Personal Trainer, then moving on to specialize in Yoga and Pilates, she has trained with STOTT, Peak Pilates, Powerhouse Pilates and Balanced Body University. Now working at Etudes de Ballet, she offers clients work on three professional reformers as well as Pilates Mat classes. She continues to share her vision to change and inspire lives and help clients feel great again.
